The existing cathedral had extreme damage - all of the interior walls had to be re-built, the interior wythe of the exterior walls to be demolished and the entire roof structure rebuilt to the original decorative truss configuration.

All of the exterior windows had to be replaced and the altar and sacristy millwork rebuilt from church archive photographs.
